Getting Married

Getting married started off as a stressful endevor. There were lots of questions on my end, and on Holly's end. We are both Christians, so that really gives us a strong foothold on what God wants, but there were still some concerns. Luckily for us, we have a great mentor couple from Church. Also lucky for us, our church really stresses the importance of premarrital counciling and takes that a step further. Through the mentor program at Riverview, we have learned that a lot of the things we freak out about are normal...it wasn't just us. We have learned more in depth about God's intentions in marriage and that we are floating around by ourselves in some dingy in the ocean of life. We have a safety net of other believers who will be there even after we say our "I do's". So I just wanted to thank Marty and Dawn Valley...and Riverview for really being proactive in Holly and I's lives as a engaged couple and the other couples who are seeking marriage.
